The Edge VR Brings Full Body Tracking To The Next Level
June 10, 2022
Accurate full body tracking is an essential enabler of immersive virtual reality experiences, but traditional tracking technologies have their fair share of limitations, from requiring VR users to wear bulky harnesses to depending on expensive cameras that need line of sight to work properly.
Now, The Edge VR is bringing full body tracking to the next level with its groundbreaking magnetically tracked VR platform.
The Edge VR Debuts Magnetic VR Tracking Platform
June 8, 2022
The Edge VR, a company building magnetic tracking technologies for room-scale environments, announced last week it had opened its first experience centre to demo its proprietary tracking platform.
Its cutting-edge technologies are deployed for immersive entertainment, education, and training use cases and were featured at the opening of its Experience Centre in Croton-on-Hudson, New York.
"Six years of extensive research and experience in the VR industry have given us a deeper understanding of the current limited offerings and the potential beyond what has been accomplished so far. As a result, we’ve successfully opened up a world of possibilities," said Adam Anfiteatro, Founder & CEO of The Edge VR. "As an emerging technology, we fully appreciate the limitless possibilities virtual reality presents. After years of research and trial and error, we are excited to see all the pieces come together."
The Edge VR has announced its unprecedented ability to rapidly deploy a high-quality, multi-person experience in a room-scale environment using patented magnetic tracking technology. The company has revealed revolutionary technology that tracks players and objects through a proprietary method of precise physical and virtual alignment. When combined with magnetic tracking, this results in a non-occlusive capability to interact with the physical world.
The Edge VR, a provider of room-scale virtual reality (VR) entertainment, training and immersive education solutions, has recently announced the launch of its new magnetically tracked, full body VR platform, which provides the ability to deploy high-quality, multi-person experiences in a room-scale environment using the company’s patented magnetic tracking technology.

Taking a trip to outer space just got a little easier for those living on earth in the lower Hudson Valley.
A new virtual reality experience, The Edge VR, has opened in Croton-on-Hudson. It promises to bring customers to "the edge of space" through the use of "interactive and innovative" multi-player virtual reality.
The technology allows visitors to experience a virtual reality escape room combination without tethers as they maneuver through five environments virtually, and 20 x 20 square feet of space filled with physical props.

"The system uses magnetic tracking and motion capture. Because the new technique doesn't require line of sight to track the player's body, close-quarter multiplayer games and applications will be possible," Adam Anfiteatro, CEO of The Edge VR, said in an email interview.
